Space-Saving Solutions: Nike Reviews the Nova Highchair and Fika Mini Room Set

Creating a space that’s both functional and beautiful is no small feat when you’ve got little ones in tow, but content creator and mum Nike (@adenikeo) has found two favourites that tick every box.

In this Q&A she shares her honest thoughts on the Nova Highchair and Fika Mini 2 Piece Room Set, highlighting how both pieces have helped her navigate mealtimes, nursery set-up and everyday life with calm, style and practicality. We started by asking her what stood out about the Nova Highchair.

What made the Nova Highchair stand out to you when choosing a long-term seating solution for your little one?

What really stood out about the Nova Highchair was its versatility. It is not just a highchair, but a full 11-in-1 solution that adapts to your baby’s growth.

I loved the idea of investing in one product that could evolve from a newborn cradle to a toddler chair and even a low play chair later on. It felt like a smart, future-proof choice that blended functionality with sleek design.

How has it adapted as your baby has grown, have you found the transitions through the stages easy to manage?

The transitions between stages have been surprisingly intuitive. We started using the rocker for my newborn and then moved to the table and chair mode for my pre-schooler. Currently, we use the highchair function for my then-newborn, now six-month-old.

I can’t wait to try the other modes as she grows. It is easy to reconfigure without needing an engineering degree. It really grows with your child, and that flexibility has saved us from buying multiple bits of kit.

How easy did you find the setup and everyday cleaning routine with the Nova?

Setup was straightforward. The instructions were clear, and everything clicked into place without fuss. For everyday cleaning, I really appreciate the wipeable surfaces and removable tray.

The materials are thoughtfully chosen, and mess wipes off easily, which is a blessing when you’re dealing with daily mealtimes. I also love that it has storage space for keeping toys close at hand.

Would you recommend the Nova to a parent looking for a multi-stage highchair — and what would be your reasons?

Absolutely. I have recommended it to lots of my followers and will continue to do so. It is perfect for parents who value products that are both long-lasting and stylish.

It covers so many stages, so you’re not constantly needing to upgrade. Plus, it looks beautiful and fits into our home without clashing with our interior aesthetic.

Did your little one seem comfortable and secure from the start?

Yes, from day one my little one looked snug and well-supported. The rocker was particularly helpful in the early months. It kept her nearby and engaged while I was in the kitchen. The harness is secure but not restrictive, and the padded seat adds extra comfort.

Have you taken it with you on the go — if so, how practical did it feel for travel or storage?

Yes, we’ve taken it on a family trip to Nottingham. The foldable legs and portability features make it surprisingly travel-friendly for something so robust.

It folds down compactly and is lightweight enough to stash in the car boot or in a cupboard. It’s also great for grandparents’ houses or as a second highchair for other spaces.

What made you choose the Fika Mini Room Set for your little one’s nursery?

The design really drew me in. The Scandinavian-inspired look is clean, calming, and timeless. The compact size was also a big factor. We don’t have a huge nursery, so I needed something space-efficient without compromising on quality or style.

Did the cot’s mini size still feel roomy and comfortable for your baby, and how has your little one settled in?

Yes, absolutely. The mini cot still offers plenty of space for sleep and movement, and my baby has settled into it beautifully. It feels cosy without being cramped, and there’s something reassuring about a snug sleeping space in those early months.

How do you feel this set helped you balance style, storage, and space?

It really struck the perfect balance. The dresser provides a decent amount of storage for essentials without feeling bulky, and the compact footprint leaves enough space in the room for play or a chair. Style-wise, the white and light oak finish keeps everything light and fresh, which is perfect for smaller rooms.

What’s one practical tip you’d share for parents working with compact nursery spaces?

Choose multi-functional furniture and keep the palette light and cohesive. The Fika Mini Set is a great example . The cot and dresser are space-conscious but highly practical. I also recommend using vertical space. Wall shelves or hanging storage can help keep surfaces clear and everything organized.

How do you envision the Fika Mini set adapting as your child grows?

The cot converts into a toddler bed, so it will see us through several more years. Even beyond that, the dresser remains a beautiful and functional piece that can work in any room. It doesn’t scream “nursery,” so I imagine repurposing it later in a playroom or even a home office or study.

Summary

Nike found both the Nova Highchair and Fika Mini 2 Piece Room Set to be practical, stylish, and perfectly suited to her growing family’s needs. She highlighted the Nova’s versatility, noting how easily it adapts from newborn rocker to toddler chair, with thoughtful features that simplify daily life, like easy-to-clean surfaces and compact foldability for travel.

The Fika Mini, with its Scandinavian-inspired design and space-saving footprint, was the ideal choice for a smaller nursery. Together, these pieces struck the right balance between form and function, proving that parenting essentials can be both beautiful and built to last.
