How did your little one react the first time they saw their own "grown-up" chair?
He gave the biggest smile! Right away, he asked if it was a "big boy chair" just for him. The moment he sat on it, he was all smiles - especially because it rocks! He absolutely loves it. He even moves it around the house himself, from his bedroom to the living room, like it's his favourite piece of furniture.
What made you want to create a little nook or reading space for your toddler at home?
Reading is really important to us, and keeping him screen-free is a big priority. Creating a cosy, inviting space just for books has made a huge difference. Now he grabs a stack of books, rocks himself in his chair, and talks all about the stories. It’s become such a special part of his routine.
Do you notice your little one gravitating toward this chair for quiet time, books, or pretend play?
Absolutely! He uses it all the time. It’s his go-to spot to unwind—even without books. Sometimes he just lays back and rocks himself, completely relaxed. He genuinely uses it every single day, at least once or twice. He also loves sitting there while I get his clothes ready for nursery. It’s clearly become a favourite corner of comfort for him.
How does this chair complement your home’s style while still being totally kid-friendly?
The design is super stylish—it blends seamlessly into our home. Whether it’s in the living room or Genaro’s bedroom, it fits beautifully. The colour is also really aesthetic and matches the calm, neutral tones in our space. It feels like a grown-up piece, but perfectly made for kids.
Would you recommend the Micah Mini Me to a fellow parent looking to create a calm and engaging space for their little one—and why?
I absolutely would! My son adores it, and we’ve really seen the benefits of having it at home. It makes reading time extra special, and he proudly shows it off to anyone who visits. It’s a piece we genuinely love—one of those things you won’t regret getting. Every toddler who comes over gravitates toward it, and two of my friends ended up getting one for their kids after seeing how much ours enjoyed it.
