Newborn Essentials

Everyday essentials make the best gifts. Our breathable muslin cloths work as bibs, burp cloths, or lightweight blankets and are gentle on delicate skin. Baby beanbags (suitable from birth) and 0 to 6 months sleeping bags are also practical choices. Explore our new baby gifts for more ideas, or choose a Tutti Bambini gift card so parents can pick their own essentials.

Start with a sleep space, then add first-day essentials. Our newborn range includes cosy cribs, soft sleeping bags, padded wipe-clean changing mats, and everyday muslin cloths. For close nighttime bonding, our bedside cribs attach securely to your bed with a fold-down side, making feeding and settling easy without getting up.

Yes. Our CoZee bedside cribs feature a firm, flat mattress and can be used bedside or standalone from birth to around six months. With adjustable heights, they fit most divan and slatted bed bases. Once baby begins sitting up, kneeling, or pulling up (typically around six months), our cot beds provide the next step. Always follow the manufacturer's safety instructions.

Our baby sleeping bags come in two sizes, 0 to 6 months and 6 to 18 months, so the 0 to 6 months size suits a newborn. They're made from sustainable bamboo cotton, which is hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin, and they're designed to keep your baby warm without the worry of loose blankets or overheating.

Our high-quality cotton muslins come in packs of three as standard squares, larger swaddles, or bandana bibs - ideal for feeds, cuddles, and daily messes. Use our muslin guide to help work out the exact quantity you will need for a newborn.
